SAPIR ACADEMIC COLLEGE

Younes & Soraya Nazarian Academic Library of the Ima Foundation

The Sapir College Library, established over 50 years ago, provides a critical academic and research center for students, researchers and the wider community while also serving as a public and cultural institution for the residents of Sha’ar HaNegev. In 2009, the Foundation gift enabled the construction of a new library wing. The project doubled the library's size and the new wing added study areas, a multimedia department, and dozens of computer workstations. The ground level of the new wing is dedicated to communal activities with designated spaces for children and youth activities and programs for seniors.
